No one will punish you for killing the Loot Bug, no one will kick or teamkill you for killing the Loot Bug, you gain nothing from petting the Loot Bug. Therefore, the Loot Bug presents itself as the ultimate example of whetherr a person will do what is right without being forced to do it. The game subtly inclines one to do so - particularly with perks like It's a Bug Thing that specifically encourage the murder of Loot Bugs. Simultaneously, it is not illegal to shoot a Loot Bug. The rewards from shooting a Loot Bug are often negligible and there are few circustances outside of barely not having enough Nitra for a resupply in which a dwarf would need to shoot a Loot Bug. To pet the Loot Bug is objectively right. To pet the Loot Bug is often an easy, convenient task and one which we all recognize as the correct, appropriate thing to do. The Loot Bug is the ultimate litmus test for whether a dwarf can be trusted in a group. ![]()
